3/20/17- 6 month old Beagle, living in a dark closet, gets a second chance at life because of OLH residents.
A six month old Beagle was living in despair. This precious baby Beagle was neglected, mistreated and put into a closet each day. The pet owner's landlord, became aware of the situation and pleaded with the pet owner, who finally agreed to give up the dog. Megan Prast coordinated the logistics with the landlord, and Megan was able to retrieve Buckley, Megan's new name for the Beagle. Other OLH residents stepped in once they learned about the situation and gave generously to fund Megan's travel expenses for Buckley's freedom ride back to Dallas. DFW Furgotten Friends was Buckley's rescue and he was immediately taken to Buckner Terrace Animal clinic. Megan began searching for fosters for this sweet boy. Doug Silver, OLH Area Rep, offered to be the foster. Now, Buckley is being fostered is prouder than ever thanks to Megan and all who supported her efforts. If you want to learn more about how to adopt Buckley please go to DFW Furgotten Friend's website.
