Friends of Dallas Animal Services was founded in 2019 by a small group of shelter volunteers united by a love of animals and appreciation of the unique challenges faced by municipal shelters. They are a volunteer-run organization that raises funds to support the pets and people at Dallas Animal Services (DAS), the only open intake shelter in Dallas.
