COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Hub Update: In an effort to equitably distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to all Dallas residents, CM Blackmon has requested that City of Dallas staff and Mayor Johnson set up a vaccine registration hub at Harry Stone Recreation Center this week. It is critical that as many neighbors are reached as possible in vaccine registration, and language barriers and internet access should not inhibit someone’s ability to receive relief from this pandemic. Councilmember Blackmon is looking forward to actively working with City of Dallas staff and Dallas County to ensure that aggressive outreach to our hard-to-reach neighbors is prioritized as we continue to fight against COVID-19.

Dallas Police Department VIP Training: The Northeast Division of the Dallas Police Department will be hosting its next Volunteers In Patrol (VIP) training via Zoom on March 6, 2021 from 9:00am-1:00pm. Copies of the requirements, application and waivers can be requested from Kevin.Kelly@dallascityhall.com and must RSVP by Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021.

White Rock Lake Dam Maintenance Update:
The most recent White Rock Lake Dam Maintenance Update is attached. It is important to note that this is an on-going maintenance project to maintain the integrity of the dam and to meet Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations. As safety is a top priority, there will be no public access allowed in construction areas including the old fish hatchery. Everyone is urged to follow all signage posted in the construction zones. If you have any questions please contact Estela Ornelas, Sr. Public Affairs Officer at 214-671-9554 or estela.ornelas@dallascityhall.com. Questions may also be directed to Project Manager, Mark S. Mihm P.E. ENV SP at 214-670-4271 or Mark.Mihm@dallascityhall.com
